I understand everyone's anger and frustration but small satellite campuses are not needed. And people and sites that don’t perform need to be removed. The company has made too many mistakes and they must slim budgets like everyone else. The most dangerous thing I got from Intel was experience.

To OP, if you expect government to take care of you then you might as well drink a cup of bleach right now...
For some reason, other companies dont want people from Intel as most of the tools are built in-house or they put the DAMN wrapper around it so that people dont learn industry standard tools! And an army of DA's are there to build these wrappers!!! They should be kicked-out first!
Smaller sites are the acquisitions of the last years with innovative products and clever people.
