The January round of redundancies in Cork was not targeted at contractors. Most if not all of the vCA and CS Business Units (which were most impacted) were permanent staff while the cheaper support centers ie CR and India were retained. We could speculate about which BU we think maybe next in line but without inside knowledge were at a loss.
If the 500 mentioned EMEA is correct than the Cork site would be the place.In last cut.All Contractors roles cut and lots moved to India/CR cost cutting due to high Cork classed cost site.Anyone else know more.

You need a cleanup. Imagine having a family and a house and being the only breadwinner of the house and being "cleaned up" like you said, just coz vmware is not making money because of people like you.
I hope you go through the same ordeal and then would love to read a comment like that from you.
