Look at the history here on layoffs dot com - all info was leaked by someone in HR many weeks before we heard anything from the mgmt

They are just eliminating a small percentage of jobs now, with severance, to lessen the blow of additional reductions later.... (Without severance)
We've actually seen many jobs cut already. No announcement, just the person disappears or you can't reach them via email or phone. How nice when they are a coworker and you need their assistance, right?
That's how many large companies operate. Ya know, better impression on the media and employees by offering severance at first, then BAM! Sorry, you're fired too, and you, and you, oh and you too....no severance for you guys tho! Ha! Oh and now let's go "create" new jobs in Irving where the fresh faces start off with no tenure or vacation, with a 50% cheaper salary and zero expectations LOL.
I guess the HR person who leaked this info wasn't joking after all. That person's post clearly outlined what was going to happen. This is only round one of RIF.
@GsWB7rl-xvt with all due respect, this is stupid. if it's 1600 people they could have done it in 2 hours...
Yes, it's supposed to go until next Tuesday. It was planned this way.
