They should get their stock, because that was part of the promise when they signed on and committed to leave their last job. A significant part of their salary would be paid in stock as stated on their offer letter. It's all kind of bs. At Sandridge we got our stock fully vested when we left but it's worth a fraction of what it was and we have to sell it through a brokerage since it got delisted from NYSE. I guarantee if that stock was worth anything they would not have released it.

@GqClXv8-2mnl You got your Long term incentive stock fully vested as a part of the severance package, and you were no longer employed when they awarded this years. Take your fully vested stock and run.
Stock is called LTI (Long Term Incentive) because it is given as an incentive to make it hard for you to leave . If you are being laid off they don't need to make it hard for you to leave so no LTI is given. I think it was extremely generous to be given the invested stock I already had in my account.
I was let go. I thought it was kind of sad that they did not grant the stock to all employees. I only say this because I was told we were not being let go because of performance. If we did do a good job I would think the thing to do would have been grant stock as if it was any other year and then make the cuts. It would have been a classy way to make the cuts and give those who where let go a little extra money if needed.
Did they grant more stock than normal to those that did not get cut?

The cooks in some of the schools aren't going to get their three hours a day for feeding kids Michelle Obama's diet. If you have kids in school is your wife upset about having to pay another day of daycare too?
