@Bsvz our IT is so big there are always layoffs somewhere, it's constantly in flux, as we add headcount, and we let some people go - all companies do this and this is not a Microsoft specific way of shaping the IT pyramid

No layoffs in IT as of April 2016. Not sure what happens next but no layoffs for now.

Not really, I am in IT on the Infrastructure side and we so no layoffs, not sure where the OP gets his info, but I can tell you that there is nothing going on as it relates to Microsoft IT layoffs (this is as of April 2016)
