I started in IBM's cloud group as a band 6 - we only had about 100 clusters to administer with 8 people on support, and 8 people on ops.
OK, now this seems like a fair amount, and workload was manageable. Since then, IBM has consistently dropped the ball by raising that number to well over 300 instances, foisted more responsibilities on my team while, well, cutting headcount, and neglected to adjust my pay for over a year and a half, even with good (2+) PBCs.
Today, I am paid probably close to 50% of what the new hires I am training are, even though I was rated higher - I am a senior member of my team, and a go-to resource for many issues. This leaves me feeling expendable and brushed under the rug. I do not have confidence in my manager to fix this, and even though we have an open door policy, I am afraid of blowback for raising it to HR or senior management.
I am properly burnt out, and I do not expect it to get better at all. Any suggestions on how to resolve the aforementioned issues (I would not like to quit)?
