Remember, Mackey will be getting a full body rub down on a tropical island no matter the outcome. He's a moron.

9 pointy points on the top of his swollen empty 11th grade mentality of a head that only reads what it is he agrees with……maybe he should of finished college then he may of grew up and not be stuck believing in the Ann Rand school of selfish thinking. Alas, who cares at this point he's to damn old to change his ways and he will have further to fall than us pee ons. I can't wait to see it and he is not nor will he ever be one of "wall streets little darlings" no matter how hard he tries they think he's a dumb ass too.
It's hilarious at this point, that he doesn't even understand what a joke he is. #wholefoodsmarket
Mackey was probably qualified to run the company at up to 10 stores. After the company went public he should have been shown the door. He has demonstrated what naked ego with no actual ability can do to a company.
Piece of crap Mackey is!!! In this stupid article not one mention of laying off 1500+ hard working employees as being one of the toughest things to deal with in 2015...instead he feels the need to defend the friggin asparagus water!!! Man o man am I glad I was offered and took the severance package!! It amazes me how some of my old coworkers still drink the kool aid and posted this article on FaceBook with captions like "Boo-Yeah!!!"...and of course these former coworkers were some of the most convoluted and self centered people I worked with!!
Watch what they do, not what they say. Many members of the e-team are in their sixties now and based on their behavior it's clear they want out. They want the investing public to believe there's a "second act." Well we're in Act IV not Act II. This clusterf*** is so tightly wound up that no one can fix it now. Bad decisions and nepotism have consequences. I know for a fact that at one key competitor I will call Zeus Foods, a memo was circulated that included the WFM news release about layoffs and the precipitous decline of the stock and the plan to borrow a billion dollars (!!!!) to buy back stock. The memo gloated about how over the past 80 or so years, Zeus Foods has had slow, steady growth and it listed dozens of Zeus' competitors that had come and gone. The big grocery names are ROTFL. There is no 9-point plan, it's a one-point plan and here it is: Make people think you have a plan, then TAKE THE MONEY AND RUN.
@F4j5qKR-ofj He's had about 25 years since going public to come up with a plan and it's been little more than "Hey I don't know anything about operational details so Walter and A.C., you figure it out!" This is because he thinks that merchandising solves all problems. Well it turns out he didn't know much about picking top leaders either. Key point: He didn't know the difference between skill and luck. They built a sand castle, not an estate. They promoted their buddies and ex-wives and husbands and created these ponderous regions based on whoever was at Harry's Farmers Market or Bread & Circus or Fresh Fields. You can't depend on the people who got you into a deep hole to magically engineer a way out of it.
From what I can glean from news articles:
1) cut expenses
2) cut jobs
3) open 365 stores
4) lower prices
5) explain why we're different
6) spend on technology
7) getting back to basics
8) moderate growth
9) create a crisis team
Hey guys don't worry, we've got the NINE POINT PLAN. #pyramidscheme
Mackey's action plan is to take the money and run. #wholefoodsmarket

I guess even mackey has to write action plans. As annoying as writing thise things were as a TL I always enjoyed filling them with BS, and knowing the regional peeps reading them weren't intelligent enough to see through it.
Write another book! Or create a 2-hour documentary based on the first book. Remember, with John it's all about marketing, merchandising and perception. He will never admit that his hand-picked global and regional execs have been and continue to be a disaster. He's in tune with universal consciousness and you aren't.
His plan is not to have a plan
Haha. So true @otm

This clown thinks the only problem is that they've had a rough year in the press. He simply is incapable of grasping reality.
