MA region: why does Jane Mueller have a job? Every time she came to our store, she advised us to change something which usually guaranteed a LOSS in sales, not a gain. An example (I don't care if this is too specific, I don't work there anymore thank god): grocery case stacks. One time she came to our store and told us we could not have case stacks of water on the sales floor. Our TL stood her ground and was going to ignore Jane's advice (because she knew that it would hurt us sales-wise), but store management insisted we get rid of the stacks. These are one of our top sellers, by the way.
So the result was we were hammered with customers asking us 'where are the cases of water?' We were running back and forth all day fetching water from the back. I know we lost a ton of sales because we couldn't keep up with the requests. Customers were complaining at the booth about it too. It was one of the most confounding things I experienced there. If we had cases of water available on the sales floor as REQUESTED BY CUSTOMERS, we would have satisfied and delighted our customers, AND made some money.
Jane doesn't seem to be interested in making money though. If she did, she'd listen to the people who actually interact with customers, and adjust her attitude based on this feedback. Apparently she still has a job, and it makes sense because that company has the most inept management I have ever seen. I'm with a retail company now and it's retail but they have competent distribution and there's way less drama and favoritism. People can't get away with the buffoonery and crazy decisions that I saw management make at WFM.
Oh and it should be said that my TL was looked upon very negatively after Jane's visit for having a different opinion. So she stopped voicing her opinion entirely, and just agreed with whatever Jane said.

Cream rises, sure. If that were actually true WFM wouldn't be in this fine mess. A lot of dedicated hard working people had to lose their jobs due to these s*#t floaters.
I'm ROTFL over the idea that "cream has risen to the top" here. Yes, sometimes, cream rises to the top. But you know what? Sh*t floats. And these management posts are proof.

I'm loving all of the TRUTH that's being posted on here. Management on the other hand, can't deal with it. What comes around, goes around... Good luck at Walmart because that's all you're qualified for.

just giving you a hard time. i am filled with disdain for this company now. love coming on here and seeing i'm not alone.
I love the fact that people are expressing all of the things that I have felt for years.But do to the abusive, passive aggressive, lying, downright filthy management of this corporation, I have never had an outlet to truly say how I've felt. After ten years of this nightmare, it truly feels good.
