Does anyone have info on potential reorg and layoffs that might be happening later in Q3 2015 at Teradata? I heard conflicting stories, some of my friends still work there, I left in 2011 but still keep track of what's happening with this once great company. You'll see many rumors on the web, so please make sure you are very careful about what you perceive as right or wrong

Layoffs are not over boys and girls. They want the company to be flat with less people part of optimization exercise. There will be more people than territories so more layoffs to come.
Select "Tis the season to be jolly" from Teradata Employees
where x = "Tis the season of change" and y = "Teradata to get its majo back"
Our management is so incompetent that they hired Bain & Company to help transition Teradata for the future. Now we know who is making the calls on the layoffs. When will they fire the execs.
Who is going to get the Geographic VP jobs?
Hush everybody "We have a plan to get our mojo back"
Lets see what the Rick's Americas call tells us today. Its the largest audience Teradata has ever had on a call. Over 1200 participants so far and growing. Some of us have asked if the layoffs are over.

Dilbert has an answer to it all.
Someone should bring up Teradata layoffs in the GOP debate tonight or better yet have Ben Gillis, Davaid Kuenzel, Ephraim Flores, Eugene Sullivan and Ralph Vossmeyer debate to become region heads.
The question is who wants to stay anyway? Cost-cut, re-org, lay-offs will be the pattern until a merge or buyout can happen hopefully soon..
Maybe the layoffs are over. No one is reporting any new ones.
What group are you in?
What is wrong with the management of this company. Just a week to go to Christmas and I get handed down the pink slip. I really dont care any more, but I suggest y'all should hashtag on twitter Ben Gillis, Davaid Kuenzel, Ephraim Flores, Eugene Sullivan and Ralph Vossmeyer need to go. Good luck to y'all.
This is a thread about layoffs, not share price. Let's get back to that. Anyone have any new info on the Sales organization Area VP's?
Real talk, do shareholders need to sell or no?
I pray to God it is not any one of Ben Gillis, Davaid Kuenzel, Ephraim Flores, Eugene Sullivan and Ralph Vossmeyer. Hopefully they get other jobs and move on so its a win win for them and us.
Who can make a prediction on who will fill the 4 Area VP roles of East, Central, West, and Bay Area? Some of you must have a thought or opinion!! Who gets Central? Who gets West? Bay Area?
You are correct @B8mLN8E-3Oeld. Ben Gillis, Davaid Kuenzel, Ephraim Flores, Eugene Sullivan and Ralph Vossmeyer should be fired. If someone reviews their expense statements for the last 5 years they will be fired for cause.
The old (really old) boys network will carry on in US & International, same slow and inefficient processes, same strategy relying on our customers growing and doing floor sweeps, same old friends under delivering will lead to the same results! Wait a minute!!
How many layoffs are occurring in Dayton?
What group was your friend in?
More layoffs today. My very good friend and colleague received a call from HR and was told its his last day. The company is silently laying people off. Why isn't it making an announcement?
Ben Gillis, Davaid Kuenzel, Ephraim Flores, Eugene Sullivan and Ralph Vossmeyer need to go. They are the reason we are in this mess.
I will bet that those are the exact 4 guys who get the Area VP positions. Some things never change.
I hope the organization does not make the good old boys region heads or we are doomed. They replaced Rocky and its about time that they look at people like Ben Gillis, Davaid Kuenzel, Ephraim Flores, Eugene Sullivan and Ralph Vossmeyer. These guys need to go.
Do you think they will just name the existing Industry VP's as the Area VP's? Same old boys club?
I hear your concerns, and looks like management has taken notice of it. US and Canada will split in regions and the industry model will go away. This means some VP's, Directors , Partners etc. will be made redundant, and there will no longer be cross country travel. Lets hope they execute it properly. Stay tuned the next few weeks will be exciting.
"Industry Sales VPs, Sales AVPs, Sales Directors are the same as the Partners. Partners.....Why do they even have the Partner title when we are not a partnership?
Aside from exec salaries these guys are our biggest expense/burden. They run expense accounts. Why do they need to travel from coast to coast for a short 1 hour meeting that has no outcome. Reviewing GL and working on year end activities, consolidation and finances leaves a lot of questions. These guys spend 100K to 200K and beyond in expenses annually....And we built the company..... And we get laid off."
Now the Sales/PS groups are going away from an Industry model to a Geographic model. Does anyone know who will be the VP's for the 4 regions (East, Central, West, and Bay Area) in the Named accounts group?
Has anyone heard of anybody getting laid off today??

Senior Managing Partners, Managing Partners, Senior Partners and Partners several in every industry vertical are useless. Get rid of them.
Expect Industry Sales VPs, Sales AVPs, Sales Directors, Senior Managing Partners, Managing Partners, Senior Partners and Partners to get laid off before Solution Architects
Goldman starts at Sell, questions buyout prospects.

Not looking good.
If not today, is it 12/18? There most be more sales, PS, and Solution Architect layoffs coming.....
Nothing is happening today. Happy Friday guys.
Is there any news yet? It's 11/12 today. Starting to get really nervous about the rumours.
@3cks What , not satisfied with team leaders with no degree making the big bucks and getting a rolly after 25 years of svc? Might have to sell rolly if get laid off ... what does oil co employees getting bonuses have to do with TD layoffs?
Can someone post a list with TD locations so this thread starts showing up in Google searches?
Six figure bonus for all employees (Chevron's board) - see it here - @ESMCHMc
@B8mLN8E-3Kopz - Valium typically works for me, aside from that breathing exercises seem to work fairly good
good question. but how does one prepare for a layoff?
