Thread regarding HP (Hewlett-Packard) layoffs

Don't Let Icahn Win

Xerox is disintegrating internally at an accelerating rate. The CEO is funnelling as much money as legally possible to Icahn while the core business and sales are unsupported. No layoffs this quarter because too many people quit. There are hundreds of orphaned back office systems & servers that no one owns. All the subject matter experts left without transferring knowledge. Wipro can log into the servers and do basic admin functions that a first year Computer Science major is expected to do, that's it. Where is the Tech Powerhouse? Icahn thought he could find a fool to buy Xerox before this charade would be exposed.

He's been doing this for so long, I doubt he'd pull such a move unless his legal team had vetted it. I bet that suit will be put to rest and the path made clear once again, soon. ..... Not that I want it to happen that way, quite the contrary!!

Icahn is currently being sued for insider trading from one of the funds that holds HP stock. If they open an investigation by the SEC, Icahn might be going to jail instead of cashing out on his stock gains.

I hope those holding enough shares to move votes (if it comes to that) will have researched both Icahn history of breaking companies (TWA) and making bad buys (Blockbuster). Witness his epic failure controlling the XRX board and C-level exec. Xerox has not invested in future growth for years, revenue continues to decline at an accelerating pace, and the combined effects of regular layoffs, low quality outsourcing and employees jumping ship leave a company with rock bottom morale.

You have no control or say over what HP will or won't do.

I second this 1000% @12n3LE7H-4ltc

If any merger happens with Xerox, Carl ICahn will decimate HP.

I currently work for Xerox. Icahn is a corporate raider in full control on Xerox executives. Don't let Icahn Inc pillage and sack HP. Icahn does not build companies. He liquidates them for person gains.
So maybe you want to participate in the pump-n-dump scheme?
Remember that you do not own HPQ for the quick cash turn-around. Cash will do few people any good in this economic climate.
The wheels will fall off of Xerox and the combined company if the merger goes through.
Ask yourself if you are a speculator or an investor.

Icahn only needs to sell on the open market. He doesn't need to find any specific greater fool to dump XRX stock. Just the rumor is enough. I bet he's already horse traded enough options/futures that he's already won under any scenario.
