Thread regarding Juniper Networks Inc. layoffs

Is Anyone Despairing Trying to FInd a Job Outside of Juniper?

We know best of the best have already left (really serious brain drain witnessed). We know their mighty brains have found jobs at great companies with at least double pay.

My friend made me reflect by saying that those who remain is because current employees can't find better jobs (i.e. they're exposed failing at interviews). I can understand this as the interviews I've failed is b/c I'm not to a higher technical standard. I get exposed . Most can hide their weaknesses at "low technical standard" Juniper but then consequently landlocked trying to find anything better before the next firings. To boot, the current total lack of prestige in the Juniper name is already tough enough trying to land interviews.

Are any of you guys in the same boat, frustrated trying to find and land the quantum job advance others are experiencing?

You will learn more, be with better better who are supportive, more focus, better culture, learn more ...
sticking around will k–l your career or be k–led by the people who only cares about certain kind of people, location, ...

@12UUm76o-1jak I totally see you! I had a very similar experience in Juniper in the past. An inexperienced, inefficient, politically motivated maniacal id–t who had hung around for like a decade in Juniper hanging from coat-tails of several VP's was promoted out of the blue and made our manager - there was a group of such people in EMEA who were nicknamed "The Mafia" inside of the company. I refused to be bullied around by someone who struggled to write a full sentence in correct English; I won't even bother to comment on technical abilities. So I left. I did not hang around to be a victim of someone with a Mussolini complex. I had to believe that I was better than that. Several other team members followed my lead. Each and everyone of us are happier elsewhere. Subsequently, I heard that the same "manager" was busted down back to where he was and has now "left" (or made to leave) Juniper.

I recent found a new job and left JNPR. No regrets, I am so happy now and making a lot more money. Not everything is perfect at my new job, but it is much better.

I lost my job at Juniper because I spoke out against my leaders that were screwing up and looking out only for themselves. They were selfish and clearly wanted to climb ladders or hold on to their highly overpaid roles, and didn't care about the people that reported to them or the company.
I am now glad that I have had the chance to move on and do what I like to do... work for a company that cares about it's people. Cares about success.
There are many companies out there that are way better than Juniper. Apply. Interview. Get out of the cesspool silicon valley also known as Juniper Networks.

Get better at interviewing. The way to do this to keep doing it. Clearly if you are getting interviews your resume looks good. Hopefully you're not fabricating stuff on it, though. That will get exposed pretty quickly in an interview.

If you truly think your technical skills are lacking, there's a ton of low cost and/or free stuff out there. Juniper provides access to stuff, too.
