I am a salary ASM but my store did not receive the email about my pay structure changing. Our APM is already hourly so no change there. It’s only 66 stores. There is also definitely more than 66 Sears and the Kmart ASMs have been hourly for a while now. Very confusing. Can someone clarify?

You are most likely Salary Exempt. Means you can’t earn overtime and get the same paycheck regardless of how much you work. The email pertained to salary non exempt, who would receive overtime.
Part of this could be variations in State laws.

It’s typically set based on sales volume, as to whether it’s salary or hourly. This way it’s consistent across company.
I am in White Plains, NY ...a K-mart store ASM and have been salary exempt for two years or more...so, guess we will see what it means that only 66 stores were sent the email,
Perhaps only 66 stores will survive next round of closings?
I think it is mostly in CA that they were already demoted to salary.
