There’s a future. You just can’t be lazy and expect to stay in an outdated position for 30 years anymore.
Same everywhere, feel sorry for millennials, no future

That is how they have done it for years, tiny layoffs in each department hoping nobody notices.
When I was there we used the coworker friends hotline to other departments to see if they lost anyone.
And it was usually the steathly 1 to 2 people in some departments.
I am just amazed because they been doing Layoffs for 15 years
Outsourcing jobs and brining in H1B workers for the last 10 to 13 years
So who the heck is left to be laid off ??? Hey how about that expensive Senior and Middle level mgmt.
It was under the radar, but there were indeed some layoffs handed out on the 8th.
@12PH0671-6xop Yes, I agree that you need to contact your network to find out about layoffs in different departments. In my experience, layoffs are usually only a handful of employees in every department. Of course, sometimes an entire department will be let go since a client/clients are leaving State Street. I would imagine that this happens often.
As I have posted earlier the best way to find out is to use the Employee friend network and check with your friends.
Sometimes the layoffs can be very small 1 to 2 people in each department so nobody really notices what is going on.
I am in Boston and nothing happened on 1/8/2020. We'll see how things develop, but hey - cannot complain too much...
Anything happen today....
No need to worry about Jan 8th.
Jan 15th however will be difficult for many....
Here in Boston we can expect that many of our colleagues with be affected.....
How would you know this considering these dates are in the future? You are either speculating or have contacts that are VP level or above.
