There's no way logistically to stay open now if they would have clothes stores and kept one region with stores they could have had distribution center centrally-located it's a done deal now probably by March
@1pfy Well they COULD shut down more faster. Many other companies have KO'd large numbers at once, like Caldors, Ames, Bradlees, Shopko, Toys r US, etc..
Sears and Kmart will be history in 2020. I would not be surprised if Transformco filed for bankruptcy. Frankly, I rather see a federal probe of Eddie Lampert's business transactions.
one store left and Eddie will tell you that you will be working at the last one left.
After the liquidators do this round they will do 2 more rounds and shut it all down. They cannot shut more down faster
Sears, kmart, and hometown will cease to exist in any form. Meanwhile, Australian kmarts will make an entry into the USA. They seem to be doing okay.
Two years ago i did a analysis that came to the conclusion that all that could be sustained was 200 or less total stores. But with out immediately reduction it would collapse the supply chain and no matter what they did it will result in complete failure. So now its just about sc-ap operation selling what has value and shutting down.
im saying march and all will be gone. possible Feburary
Anybody know exactly how many Sears & Kmart stores might hang on till the bitter end?
Next round due to be announced after December1. Get ready!!
December after an epic black Friday flop will see the announcement of the closure of the remaining stores to be completed by March or April 2020 (immediately after the currently announced closures are finished).
Whole daymn company will cease to exist. Kmart will bite the dust first, then Sears.
This will be the last Black Friday that anyone shops at a Sears or a Kmart.
