Why does everybody seem convinced today is the day? Was there an official announcement I missed? An email? Something? Anything?

Some teams are being told that RIF is complete for them. Still waiting for the All Clear from mine.
Well, seeing as how I was walked out this morning... it's happening.
Directors yesterday & Managers this morning. Some ARs are gone as well as Admins. Hoping it is over by the end of the week. Not sure how they are going to put the Eng Org back together after dropping 6 Core Directors and a number of Eng Managers. Group Heads to report straight to VP???
I think they learned not to send emails after the goat rope with the contractors. People have been getting walked out all morning, confirmed fact.
All locations were notified last month. Confirm, witnessing also.
Well it was announced to the employees it would be mid-October. This is mid-October.
What makes you think there is an email? Do you think all of the directors that got walked out yesterday got an email?
