Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Better list of stores not closing yet. Ignore my previous 1.

Sorry, my computer somehow added all kinds of numbers to the format of my last list so let me try that again. Here are the stores, that, to my research, are not yet closed or closing. Everything here is verifiable. Painstaking process, but here's my list of stores not closed or closing. Took a lot of effort, in many cases, calling each store to verify, as KMART's website is vastly out of Date. Feel free to use it, share it, whatever, but just remember that Jack made this list. If you don't remember Jack, then you don't Know Jack. Sorry, couldn't resist. Anyway, if y'all find any errors, or anything new that has been announced not reflected in here, please let me Know so I can fix my list. Here goes, the final stats are at the bottom:

@eno I didn't Know about that Kmart inside Sears concept. I was just referring to regular Kmart stores. There are currently 4 in NYC, as I listed. 2 in Bronx County, 2 in Manhattan (Known as NY county), that's why I simply listed those locations as "NY".

@xyb You're quite welcome. I want to do Sears but unlike Kmart, that's a bit murky and here's why. The Sears website shows regular Sears, Sears hometown, Sears appliance, Sears outlet, etc. I'm not Knowledgeable enough about that company wo Know which is which and how I should list them. At least with Kmart it is cut and dry, either it's a Kmart or it isn't. With Sears, the website just lists all the different kinds, so I was getting confused. Maybe someone with some More Knowledge of the different types of stores might be able to do it?

Thank you, Jack, for putting this list together. Does this include the Kmart inside the Sears in Brooklyn? I see a number of NYC references, which is why I'm asking.

Jack

Thanks brother this helps confirm this was about the real estate. Californians, Florida Nyc,maryland are the golden ones left. It was never ever about retail and you proved.

Great job and thanks

When you can post the Sears👍👍👍

Yeah pretty modern pos systems. Pretty modern online pickup and ordering, pretty modern young energetic managers, pretty modern nationwide spokesman, pretty modern logo. Get a d–g test you freak it's over and they were sooooooo bad to there employees. It was about the real estate that's why the list has California so heavy as it's so valuable.

@jmz Oh I didn't even do the Sears one yet. This was strictly Kmarts. You are right though!
