@1xer Any idea when announcement is coming in October? First?
@1tib DUDE, this is a news site. Definitely dude. Definitely. :) Who's on first? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kTcRRaXV-fg
Will definitely be more according to sources above. 50 or more in October and they will be shocking.
I have confirmation from a BU exec. AT HOFFMAN that there will be more store closures announced in October. Not sure of the date but unless something drastic has changed in the last week, more stores will close. Anyone saying the announcements are over until after the holiday season is incorrect. I mean, how many stores have they sneaked and closed in the last three weeks? At least 3, including Sears Northridge (a very profitable location), big surprise.
There are no closings slated until the holiday season is over. Plans are to keep Kmart and Sears going forward.
There are a few remaining Hoffman Estates senior executives left. Is it possible they get the pink slip, too?
So, for those in the Know, what is expected for Oct. 1? Will it be a huge blowout like the last announcement, or just a few dribs and drabs of stores? What are the numbers you re expecting to close in the next round? Or is it, as some have suggested on this website, that they will all close?
I wish I Knew too. I was hoping for Oct 1, as there are still a few stores on that list that I would like knocked down (long story for Another Time, I worked for the company 18 Years ago, still some people there I don't like), so hopefully they make some bug cuts Next Week!
