Looks like leadership finally screwed up the busy bad enough that the Board has hired chainsaw consultants to come in and cut the business to the bone. NdM and M.F. should be shown the door tomorrow. Fully expect, these chainsaw consultants to recommend firing over half of all onshore employees and offshore everything. Expect numerous labor lawsuits to be filed. If you have talent, please leave now while you can find another job on your own terms.

Unless they change their mind.... no cut in at the VP level in software or hardware despite the Quickshifter project that won’t ever get any sales, torch project that cant get done right due to the constant wind of a air suction valve, Titan Project who is only a Titan in the costs and going in large circles...yeah.... some gamers from the board should pack their bags because they could not see further than their nose due to the constant suction while in Austin

Unbelievable....
Slack is still used as a tool to measure value.... so most people BS-ing are at the top of the usage. Always the same and never able to actually deliver and moving from project to project . Demonstrate your value by writing about anything and everything with moobs. Don’t forget to take up smoking in Austin to BS even beyond slack!
I wonder who are the top 2 or 3 lately....

This demand such a mastery of executive skills at slack -erization that the going rate is at least 300k, bonus low at 25% minimum but you get stock!!!! Number of shares adapt to meet a 2M value, vesting is almost immediate as we want to attract talent!
As this is an moobs exec position ( just take position..) you must order underlings around and blame them regularly teaming with other slack-ers to maximize moral. Laughing is permitted only when going to the bank for deposits as well as humming the mantra “thank you CTO for this bounty among the dimmest lightbulb where my talk gets me to high places”

Can I be a slack admin? Salary reqs are just 280k and 25%bonus... I can talks about nothing and anything in German if need be. Unfortunately never been in Strasbourg but can move also fast between projects before actually delivering as if I had been there!

Trouble ahead for PMO as they either use the position to Monica to the top@austin or to Deliver nothing. Still threats by some that if they don’t get a promo they leave - those doing that are usually the car salesman type (Spanish usually)

Water project / you mean Buoy the product that seems to have a been some kind of a swindle... spend millions of $, pay extravagant salaries , try to make work dubious technologies... I wonder how much some directors and VPs got paid to vouch for this product ... but no worries it allows for some nice promos in pure Resideo mismanagement ...

At this rate this is going to be an Olace where you get promoted and get stock and rewards in the 1/4 mil just by talking... wait that reminds me of when people from an offshore location could blatantly lie on their resume regarding what they have done and get a promo.... looks like we have learned from the best.
As for the water project ... well we have made an exec promo of talkers so... maybe in January 2121?... storm seems like the pet project an engineering dude that doesn’t want to retire (gravy train anyone?)
More like an intellectual adventure ... so as long as there is gravy things won’t change... then those fat cats will leave and search for another company to sink

7iqx - yes, I have heard the same thing. Moobs getting CTO spot despite coming on board being told if he delivers then he would get the promo. Apparently, despite not delivering ANYTHING and not fixing ANYTHING they are going to go ahead and bump him up. Apparently elevator speeches and buzzwords are enough to get put in charge with this company now. Same for getting promoted, people who cant get anything done and are a main reason we are where we are can demand things and get them while really good people leave, get laid off or get marginalized. The failure list grows, Lum*** gets "released on 12/3...does not do anything and cant get most products to work with it. Buoy is a disaster, haven't released anything in over a year, Storm...pretty much still an idea.

Also, anyone who s—s up to him, talks a good game as he does and doesn't deliver or do anything are getting promos as well. Pretty sad place to work but I have to say the implosion and display of incompetence is kind of entertaining.

Now that the board meeting is done I would say the fun begins as they rush to save money before year end and cut for next year as well.

All I can say is get on board and sign up for those class action lawsuits. When you file make sure you tell them about the harassing and discriminatory environment. Maybe you can get a few bucks before they close this place down.

Looks like that despite the coming cuts some promos are in the works besides moobs... which is within VP realms....
Managers to directors : PMO going to Austin, software architecture used threats “ I am leaving if I don’t get a promo and more $ “
Any others promos someone heard of people with smooth talks and intangible results ?

This ship will sink without doubt. It is only a matter of time. The basic design was flawed from day 1.

It is just a shame that many good people who haven't already jumped ship will be drowned due to mismanagement pre and post spin.

There are several "leaders" (sic) who were in the right place at the right time to make it to the p–p deck during the few good times. Hopefully for them, the share price will crash before they can cash in.

Sadly I doubt if they will be going down with the ship. They will be blaming everyone else and pushing the women and children aside as they scramble their way to the lifeboats.

So the latest meetings I have been to Mougins may be spared but not all. Original plan was to shut it all down but some may now be spared. The plan here is to slowly get away from there over a longer time but still get rid of you just not all at once.

Unrelated but for the Nuage team. do NOT believe or trust the guy who is visiting you. He is a Moobs guy and is executing what Moobs tells him. He is there to assess and recommend cuts and a plan to get rid of all of you but do it in a legal way with counsels etc. He is buying time to get you all replaced. PS, he isnt the brightest guy ever either ...lol

Options already under way is cuts. That is not even a question, done deal. Cuts are based on who you s— up to simply put. (And it seems slack-er usage into account as well as what’s your suction flow velocity upwards)
Option on the table is to get rid of some comfort sections that are viewed as too cyclical and not reliable earners. Some people that were clearly associated with the previous CTO and the Atlanta guy that created the debacle of software (and the guy had to leave) have managed to thrive ( which is telling of their suction flow velocity capabilities in Austin) ...

3yeb - When you say spin within the spin...are you talking certain things ares sold to other companies or spun as seperate company on its own or maybe a tracking stock? Any detail on this?

Also, the shirtless guy (I like the name Moobs better) is apparently about to be promoted and in true Resideo style hasn't actually delivered, accomplished or actually fixed anything. He says he has and apparently that's all it takes.

Things should get interesting (AKA worse) after the board meeting taking place this week.

2fvc - looks like the cut start after this weeks board meeting. I wouldnt look for too many cuts in the software area as the shirtless guy (henceforth known as Moobs) planned on pushing other groups both within engineering and outside of engineering under the bus to save his group. I would also say that based on the board buying into what people say and not what they actually deliver they need to go just as badly as the c suite d1p5h1ts

He enabled all those below that drive us down ver the cliff.
Yes data was requested for the spin of our numbers as well as lists of cuts 5 weeks ago...
Off course the software team which is incompetent is blaming everyone else that is asking them to deliver instead of giving them promos especially the people that keep moving from GV to Atlanta (where mismanagement was apparent with people brining their GF to work under them and setting their salaries, games xboxes and c-ap everywhere ) to now Austin to continue not delivering

If the board is working directly with consultants I don't think anyone is safe, including the CEO. RF and the board have to be thinking to themselves, "we brought in a CEO that was supposed to be a whiz with spinoffs, now we need to find someone that is a star at turnarounds" because this has gotten really ugly. If you listened to the earnings call, there wasn't a lot to get excited about.

I'm guessing OP is referring to the ops and finance consultants that were brought in a couple of months back to cut. They have been doing the assessment and are about to go into the cut phase. I can tell you some of the functions who need to plan for cuts are saying the list is HUGE.

Should be an interesting Board of directors meeting next week. The functions are turning on each other and presentations will be made of recommended reductions and other cuts. My understanding is the Software gamer guy is presenting how they should cut IT, finance and other areas before touching his kingdom and has the budgetary numbers and head count to show. I have also heard other functions are doing the same for his group. Awesome to see entire groups pushing each other under the bus.

I would imagine after next weeks meeting things will get interesting. nothing ready to deliver, stock price continues downward spiral and sales continue to plummet. I would think they would want drastic reductions before the end of the year and even well into next year.
