Cheap labor, ability to capitalize the expenses, and someone to blame when there are problems.
Also 4 years on software development team...with 23 years of IT experience.
Why?
Replaced by incompetent H1B workers from Cognizant. Also learned today that a new testing team was created with VDart.
Why does a company that provides health services to Americans rely on foreign guest workers?
Watch the managers, leaders, and good ole boys in IT that have worked so hard to keep Cognizant in there. Once they get big golden parachutes watch them all go to work for Cognizant.
Hopefully Cent is keeping an eye on this and writes in a tight non-compete agreement as a part of separation to keep this corruption from happening.

3 years and had the most experience on my team - 23 years of IT...AND LET GO...Cognizant is still there though...

Yes. Today. Interesting that I have been there longer than others on my team...but I was the oldest in age.
Should be fine. Just don’t be a guy over the age of 50 or a woman over the age of 40.
We were told there wouldn’t be more, but we’ve been lied to about this before. Get your resume together and ready. Mine is.
