Haven’t seen store holiday hours posted yet. We should be closed thanksgiving day. We have no payroll budget anyway. They tell you to hire 30 seasonal people and then keep you at $10k for payroll. Am I supposed to schedule everyone 1 day a week or what? It is ridiculous the new expectations of receiving 2 trucks a week, unload it, get ALL the freight out and stay under $10 k. Then the holiday is coming and you think you will get more, we did, it bumped up to $11k fir the week of thanksgiving. I sure hope they are planning on being closed thanksgiving day this year, cuz with a budget like that we won’t have any associates in the stores to help customers. It’s nit like we will have any good ads anyway. We no longer sell electronics, appliances or mattresses. Just my 2 cents.

@11Mvrl76-ciq Eddie Lampert's handling of Sears and Kmart is a joke. What a sad excuse for a businessman. No wonder Sears Hometown and Outlet investors are suing him. They know he's incompetent.
And make sure to get all those new customers to sign up for shop your way and the shop your way master card after waiting in line with most drawn out slow moving check out experience in all of retail or you're all fired
OT was capped for the current round of liquidations at 48 hours, and it was cut off entirely about a month ago.
Yep another banner holiday season at Sears
Read your email holiday hours are posted and YES we will be open Thanksgiving day.
your not going to have any customers either since they know your bankrupt..
Yes Yes you will be working Thanksgiving..
ONE of the BEST parts of leaving there was NO WORKING THANKSGIVING AND BLACK FRIDAY...
A real life... Yes there is MORE FOR YOUR LIFE AFTER SEARS/KMART..
Yep a banner year for New Sears.
I calling black Friday bleak Friday for Kmart and Sears because it will be probably the worst this year (and hopefully the last one).
Amen sister!!!
Bravo!!!!!
They need all the payroll for all the closing stores where everybody abruptly becomes full time with plenty of overtime even if they don't want it, and they still end up having to hire a dozen or two more, even if they have to raise the starting rate to do it. Don't worry, it won't be long before your store too will be able to partake of the cornucopia of liquidation pay.
I agree with you 100%. This company continues to be a joke. We had a member walk through our Sears store the other day and she said she felt like she was walking through a graveyard. How appropriate.
