Steve Jobs in his current form would be a more effective CEO than Francois.
Last time they had a weak non-disclosure tied to severance, maybe they strengthened it for this round. Can't say I didn't see this coming though, I've seen it before with other companies. How long can you go bleeding product development and support before it becomes hard to convince customers you have something of value to sell them?

Engineers making more than others, but seems personal.
Hopefully they got an exit package.
Were the sales people ones who had been around a while? I'm hearing people mention this was mostly senior people in other departments. Wonder if it's the same in sales.
At least 20 people in the sales organization including engineers, salespeople and SEs. No rhyme or reason to it. People who made their number and got raises gone. Get out now is my advice.
I know of some in Spokane, Seattle, and Boston. Seems to be centered on PD for the most part. Not sure of numbers.

Heard there were 160 people laid off yesterday but have not gotten any official word.
Targeted layoffs are now a normal business practice. These will continue as opposed to stop.
Nobody seems to be talking about it - which has me extra worried.
