I spent the last six months looking for a new job while being paid by Juniper and doing absolutely nothing
My manager in Sunnyvale was completely clueless and lost, I think she was also looking for a new job too
Thank you Juniper

@114lrvsN-wzog You must be in Sales to pull that off with your Corp. Card. LOL. It's not your problem if they can't keep you busy enough. Sincere Congrats on your better situation!
I just found a new job on Monday afternoon after staying home doing nothing in the Bay Area. I went on a few company trips to meet my family in London and then to Italy. No questions asked and all expenses paid on my corp card. So I didn't work for the last 9 months and took vacations and trips during that time. Muchas gracias JNPR.
You should be ashamed and should get laid off. Stop stealing from the company and do serious work. Folks like you make things even worse for hardworking folks to who get laid off. YOu also s*ck because everyone I know found jobs within 2-3 months not 6months and still looking.
brilliant
Lads you know you can also volunteer to get laid off. Generally works best if you’re a pretty good performer in good standing.
I for one would love a job where my boss gave me nothing to do. There are a million things to do at Juniper that you can find. And you could just be writing a blog on the side or pursuing other intellectual interests. But my best times at Juniper are when I have a boss who gives me zero oversight. I’m a seasoned pro, let me do my thing. You gotta be intrinsically motivated. You can’t rely on Juniper or your boss to figure out what is useful to do - your boss might have no clue.
I would like to know the team ? Would love to switch there. Any leads appreciated.

There's some propaganda protecting Juniper mods downvoting here....
The only thing that would add to the FU of this story is if he got a riff severance package while sliding into his next better paying FANG job a month later after having a great relaxing vacation. Lol.
I actually know people who have tap danced into new positions in this manner after getting 5+ months severance. Hehe.
Congratulations to you OP because you have avoided the notorious annual October layoff season.
You should be ashamed of yourself
But I have to admit that is funny a $hit
Lol the pride and work ethic cards self-destruct once the recurring layoffs started. Juniper could care less about people and the feeling is mutual!
Disappointing to see this, but I know for a fact many other people are doing the same thing. Others are also waiting for their RSU to vest before jumping ship.
Great job! If your current employer cannot keep you interested and is too stupid to see you are bored, then you owe it to yourself to seek greener pastures. And doing this on their dime is their problem, not yours. Anyone who can’t see this is a blind sheep deserving of any abuse they get.
Wow - your Pride and Work Ethic cards are pulled!
Shameful act !
