As somebody said in another thread, we are well into September and there is still no official word on any new layoffs. I'd like to think that means whoever posted about September/October layoffs was wrong, but it'd be nice to have a confirmation of it.
So if anybody knows anything for sure, please share.

It happened in September. Not sure what everyone else is on about but yes people were laid off in September (actually 9/23)
The round of layoffs, as most surmise, was based on cutting people who were in the company and were paid at the higher end of salary. Obviously there were outliers at the company who weren't working at the company for say 6-10 years. But yes there were firings.
Secondly, yeah Allscripts also fired quite a few people last December with many people's last days being December 13th - two weeks before Christmas. I've been at the company for 10 years and I have seen people hired and fired. How I am still there? No idea.

Allschits free 4 years now and loving life, family loving it... hell so are the little pubs around work...:-)
Have also heard the layoffs were delayed. Our manager indicated we need to prepare for a reduction within our support team in the next few weeks.

How much severance do they give?
The MA job postings are probably to replace folks that left. Those offices have lots of attrition. Folks only seem to stay a couple of years and then move on.
Where are the layoffs happening? They are posting online ads for jobs for the Boston & Burlington MA offices. Some withing the past 5 days.
Moved to early December. Associates will be notified but given time to perform turnover.

Yes, confirmed that heads will be rolled soon in favor of adding more resources in India. Management has no clue of how pathetic work offshore work quality is, all they see is cheap labor.
This week could be an interesting week with tomorrow being the last day of the quarter or not, but we shall see.
They decided to wait until just before Christmas.

They don't normally announce any reduction in force before hand. They will do it in AM or end of day. Don't fret it. Just be prepared.
Wait to see after next week.
Layoffs are meticulously planned. They need to calculate severance, plan on consolidation of teams, determine which managers will be the bearers of bad news, get extra security for the cut down day, develop talking points to give those who remain etc. for a previous Oct layoff, managers were trying to move favored employees in August.
It will happen, but the date may not be finalized yet. It could be next week or next month or next year.
It will happen sooner rather than later.
