Just had a refreshing conversation in the elevator with another employee who shared some positive customer feedback. I see positive posts on social media regarding our team making impacts both in the business community. I am learning of continual investments in our core products. Also spoke with someone who left SGAS and has returned with lots of enthusiasm. Could this be the new norm?
What are your thoughts?

Solution Engineering is losing people left/right and the SE organization is being limited to back fill those open slots. Sales people will need to re-adjust their expectations, as they will not have a lot of local support for client face-to-face meetings. Need to move the SE group back into sales organization ASAP. Having SE's report to operations is a death-wish.
Yeah .. mandatory 12 hour shifts for multiple days a week because of the limited resources we have ... things are really looking up ... most of the LT has no clue though because they believe the BS that comes out of KR’s mouth

They've been too busy perfecting their off-boarding and ex-hire process.

I took it and was honest. It's a mess I let them have it. Don't care what they think or say. Don't fool yourself it's a mess and the numbers will show it.
Just like the last survey, any negative comments will be the fault of the employee and have nothing to do with poor management practices or LT decisions. They will come back at the employees with more work to correct things. The beatings will continue until morale improves!

To be fair SGAS have always had a good marketing machine especially in the UK so on the social media front they do indeed have front ;-) I do love the resilience roadshows though presented by a not so resilient company in terms of product and services interesting that a back to basics and reversal of going back to what was actually working is on the cards vs. let's do everything AWS

Just curious @10vNVSO7-1ifd, what era aka span of years of Sungard would you consider the Golden Era?
I have always had a soft spot for Sungard from back in the day wearing my rose tinted glasses when I worked there what seems a lifetime ago. Staff went that extra mile, customers were in the main happy and even the senior management team seemed to know what they were doing (I'm talking years ago obviously). Happy days indeed.
I digress, back to the current world. I socialise with someone who is currently a Sungard customer and a decision maker in a pretty large well known services company who host their equipment in several Sungard centres around the globe, they were saying the Chapter 11 was a shock to them and they are already shopping around with other providers as the contract comes to an end. They don't want to get caught with their pants down if it does all come crashing down.
Just hope that when the dusts settles whatever is left goes to a good home or homes along with all the great staff I remember!

Doubtful things are on the up... even OPG said in one of his rants that the 2 most important factors are the proper balance of knowledge and resource capacity .... unfortunately in an attempt to save money some departments have been cut to the bone ... and these are customer facing groups ... well..... some positions have been offshored but when you let someone go that’s been there for 10 years and try to replace him with an offshore person ... customers really notice that sort of thing
I know of no one returning and only more people continuing to leave.
