Just curious, after reading his Linkedin profile it appears the education he listed is actually a high school and not a university or college. If this is correct, how on earth could this guy have been hired as a CTO in the first place? Would also explain his hostility towards anyone he perceived as intelligent.

Who is worse...the janitorial consultant or the id–t who thinks there's value there enough to pay for consulting. As a company we are as screwed as it gets.....
Perhaps someone could provide the CTO-now-consultant a broom and dustpan since janitorial work is all he has aptitude for.
@6fws. I agree completely. For info, it's not my company. I'm not the one trying to save face. I had a reasonable idea of what would happen post spin and moved on shortly after the separation. I could see no future for either division. Outdated and poorly designed products, late to market. And a distribution business stuck in the past, failing to address the global move to low margin Web based selling and manufacturers selling direct to larger companies.
Perhaps it is a cost effective way of parting company without loss of face on either side?
I guess if it is true, then it will shortly become clear how much consultancy advice is being sought or given :)
I think the call was scheduled before the final decision from the "investigation". I dont think the date had anything to do with him "retiring". I don't think this id10t leaving is going to magically turn things around there's too many years of neglect, outsourcing, brain drain and any products we had in the pipeline are by no means game changers and are way too far behind. I would start looking at selling any pieces worth any thing at this point.
If so, then probably no coincidence that the earnings call is on Thursday. MN will need some spin for the dalays in new product launch. Meantime the share price plummets. I think a continued fall is likely as the smart mixed portfolio investors divest whilst there is still a reasonable value left in the shares.
If this is true and like a previous posting states...ill believe it when I see it.
Lets make sure this A-holes reputation follows him. Everything including why he left previous jobs along with half a55ed investigations need to follow him to his new job. He needs a taste of a wrecked career like hes has done to so many. Post on the layoff board for the new company....emails to new companies HR etc etc etc. Just state facts and its enough to screw this t–d big time.
When removing weeds, get the roots out too.
That “CTO” did promote and staff sycophants and incompetent directors that endeavored through their own greed and stupidity to destroy products and engineering. The latest are all those PMO overpaid directors and underlings constantly promoting each other but lately delivering nothing
I'll believe it when I see it. We still have to deal with the mess he created and all the other incompetent "leaders" he (and others) brought in to try and save this disaster.
