Thread regarding State Street Corp. layoffs

It’s a very sad place to be now

A Very sad place that has k–led a once amazing place to work. No employee value and all they do is offshore our jobs and lay off in addition. No raises, cutting benefits constantly, and always trying to move people out of Quincy to the new building in the Seaport. We were told on a Friday in June we will train daily an Indian replacement and expect to be let go in 4 months or so. They will keep just one oversight person who is only 24 and let us all go-3 of us that have years of loyalty and experience and great ethic. That’s he SSC way now. So we all need I accept these changes and move in ASAP. Otherwise they will do it for you in due time-Now or later. Their goal is an 85/15 ratio of all operations. Meaning 85 percent to be dobe offshore. Scary thing is they are already at 50:50 now. So after this new layoff the end of 2019, they wil be closer. Good luck to us all and I wish everyone the best in their new job searches!

sigh, hard to understand the mentality of a troll.

once you are offered a severance packge, thats it.....they don't change the terms of the agreement.
Surely you've better things to do with your life than spout this nonsense.

What you said is false. Those reading this please take that into consideration. Once you are provided your Severance agreement and agree to it; there will not be changes.

And remember the rule they have, if you fail to train the Indian replacemtns 100% to be perfect.
They may punish you by reducing or taking away your severance .

Manufacturing was first to go. Now they are outsourcing service and financial jobs. Amazon is effectively outsourcing retail so we buy directly from overseas, eliminating even the lowliest positions here in the US.

I can't help but think this will end badly. We are quickly digging out what was once a great country to sad, superficial, paper thin shell.
