@10fOMToj-lexk . You got it wrong friend. They screwed you on the bonus and still can get stealth layoffed later this year. If you look at the Juniper stilts, they're termite ridden! It just depends on what side of the house you're living in.

@10fOMToj-lexk Juniper has distinguished itself as being one of the lowest salary givers among companies of its size.

You'd have to be a fool to still want to stay after this affrontery!

@10fOMToj-lexk which team?

Several folks on my team got 0% bonus and I got around 65% of target. Our manager assured us we are doing fine. WTF. Better than stealth layoffs so we should be thanking Juniper I guess!

Why is everyone getting different target bonus? Every year everyone got the same same right? Last bonus Juniper attempted around 100% of target (first time in like forever riiight)?

Now everybody is getting trashed on bonus and it's all over the place with certain groups like Contrail unfairly getting hella more than everyone else.

So in addition to Stealth firings Juniper is giving another stomach punch by ripping the bonus away and again being political with 'favored sons' groups getting more than others.....just becuz!

lol funny... target bonus is just a target. The actual payout determines how much of that target bonus you will actually receive.

WTF???? I see some of you have 65% or more target bonus here. Why is mine only at 11%? Should I be b!tching like you all?

Isn't target bonus supposed to be uniform across the company regardless of group? It's supposed to be based on overall company performance. So WTF are certain groups like Contrail selectively enriched more vs the rest of the Company where other units are actually generating revenue with actual product but getting 65% target? This is such BS.

Not surprised at 98% for them.

Contrail team are recent hire Ex-Googlers. The elite at Juniper and they get their own universe of comps. that don't apply to the rest of the company.

Juniper has to pay them over Google level bank $$$ overall or else they'll bolt.

Looks like Juniper is using different bonus target %s for different groups (0%, 65%, 85%, 98%, etc)

This looks like a new thing.

I heard from a friend in contrail that its 98% for him. WTF?

The people they've poached the past 2 years though get paid a King's Sum!

It's only the rest of the loyal old timers that get bent in the bonus/RSU dept. especially when I compare to my friends who left to other companies who are all doing fabulously.

It feels like Stockholm Syndrome here where for years you've lost touch with reality and whittled down to the nub so that the "bad" is conditioned and translated to be "good". First was a meal. Then whittled to just a slice of bread. Then half a bread. But then you can get fired in between which really is a mercy like taking the Red Pill to escape The Matrix!

From the looks of it the payout % is pathetic......how can the management be so disconnected from reality and what is the board doing?

Has it ever been 65%-85% of target the last 15 years?

I don't think so.

Yes depending on your band, you're looking at 65% - 80% of target. Good news is the low bonus somewhat correlates to the slightly reduced stealth layoffs. Cr@ppy times people!

On the contrary, you've given yourself the biggest possible bonus by leaving Juniper.

I don't think you would get any bonus if you left already.

HR-type question: Do I qualify for [corporate portion of the] mid year bonus if I quit a few weeks ago? A colleague told me I would as it's in the employment contract. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Oh ya forgot to add on my comment below that I got 130% of target at my new company.

Again a pulse symbol since my company's sales and yearly stock growth is fantastic.

I was laid off (c-appy layoff package to boot) but I was fortunate to find another job at a top Glassdoor rated company. Yes it true that the compensation at Juniper s—s in the extreme compared to others. Your eyes really do pop at the comparison.

I regularly run into Juniper buddies and they tell me the stress of losing one's job is now monthly since you regularly hear examples. Morale is hugely in the dumps across the company.

Cisco sales folks I know laugh when Juniper is brought up. It's pretty amazing the lack of respect that is shown when they talk about the market share and large clients they've stolen. Times have really changed.

If target bonus really is 65% or 80% or whatever, I'd be urgently scrambling to leave because that really is the ultimate pulse measurement that the company is doing really really really bad. A calm before the storm type scenario.

WoW, I never saw 80% for August time frame in my tenure @Juniper.
Juniper rocks after getting rid off god talent.

80% of target is ridiculous! 65% even more insulting!

Other companies are routinely giving above 110%+ with substantial yearly inflation raises for crissakes!

80 % . It is confirmed.

If Juniper is now giving 65% of Target, isn't it a real big FU to motivate people to leave on their own without having to give severance benefits in future layoffs?

So in addition to regular stealth layoffs, they're using a more subtle tactic to thin headcount.

Feels like 2008 after the Mortgage Crisis but instead it's happening in a hot economy where other companies paying bank.

What a hot garbage situation.

While Juniper is trying to retain VPs and DEs and neglecting the rest. This is a bad move as many folks just below VPs and DEs are also leaving in droves.

10fOMToj-2lpo: Are you comfortable to share your offer details when you got the offer from FANG 15 mths ago?

I left Juniper 15 months ago. At the time I got 0 yearly refresher RSUs and no annual salary increase. And my promised yearly bonus was NEVER 100% (as all of you guys know as well).

I'm currently at a FANG.

I just got over 8% salary raise (in addition to a grade level promotion within the last 12 months). My salary is SUBSTANTIALLY higher btw (i.e. well over six figures difference) than when I left Juniper.

I also just got a stock refresher of over $300k.

Your whole net worth is ANCIENT when you compare it to other companies. You'll be able to retire a decade earlier!

WAKE UP PEOPLE!!

So, what is the % announced?

Jnpr is saving those big bonuses and RSUs for their Indian mafia waiting to be promoted to Directors, DE, VP and above.

I also heard the same about VPs and DEs getting larger than usual bonuses and RSUs as Juniper is trying hard to retain them. This means less for the rest of us given a fixed budget.

Look at AA and ML compensation.

Also, head count is below 9000. Juniper lost 1000 employees in past one year due to internal politics.

look at their compensation. i know directors get 25% target bonus and vps and above get even more just for damage. In between, can you tell me what exactly announced for bonus %.

A promised 100% of your bonus to your salary level is a joke that hasn't consistently happened any more for a looong time.

As for RSUs? Let me laugh.

Other companies have lapped Juniper in the comp. dept. in an extreme way.

No money = no talent = obsolescence

I heard from a director friend in another division not expect much as most of the bonuses are used to retain VPs/directors/DEs. Everyone else gets what remains. RSUs are also hard to come by these days.
