@10f6MMc3-pqb Bingo. This is also why the Kmarts in Australia and New Zealand are thriving as well, its because it isn't under sh–ty ownership like Eddie.

It is thriving because Eddie Lampert is not involved.....it is he who brought us down......put a stop to the company pension, stopped the company contribution to the 401K, stopped raises, stopped medical benefits, holiday pay (if unit was closed) for part-timers, stopped yearly raises, lowered commission rates, no longer were we able to use coupons if we used our associate discount cards, lowered the associate discount rate, stopped time and half if you worked a holiday, store began to open on Easter and Thanksgiving, HRs removed from the store level, new hires tossed to the floor with no training and no hours to have a "training buddy" to guide the new hire, etc...this can go on and on.......it was a recipe for disaster......NO ONE CARED for the customer or the associates......the lack of training affects customer service......I saw salaried managers that truly cared, were committed, honest, reliable to the company be replaced by persons from Home Depot, Target, Starbucks, etc that were coming in for a year or so and then "bye-bye" to another job.....associates that had excellent customer service skills, never late, honest and committed be let go because they weren't reaching their quota on credit apps or PAs (which makes $$ for the company)......this can go on and on.......Below is what I found in Wikipedia on Sears Mexico.

Grupo Carso
On April 2, 1997, Sears, now owned by Transform Holdco LLC, formed a strategic alliance with Grupo Carso, owned by Mexican businessman Carlos Slim Helú, through which Sears agreed to sell 85% of its share of Sears Mexico to Grupo Carso, until 1997. As of 2007, Grupo Carso owned a 100% share of the company. Even though Sears unveiled a new lowercase logo in the United States in 2010, Sears Mexico changed its logo to a red variant of the standard Sears blue logo in 2013.

Despite the bankruptcy of its former parent company, the closing of many stores in the United States and Canada, and subsequent sale to ESL Investments, Sears Mexico still remains open for business due to different ownership.
