@104smjJV-8lat HR does not exist for employee protection. They are there to protect the company first. Anything you say can and will be used against you.

I am less than 2 year away to reach 75 points and I'm losing so much in pension that I would have bought a house . This is so unfair to us. I know one person who is just 4 months away to reach 75 points.

In retrospect, maybe IT should have unionized.
But I'll let you know I found a much better job.
Life does go on!

ATT OWEs an honest , (yes it is ethical only when you are honest. All those ethics and inclusion courses are a sham!!!), explanation to ALL their employees. Put it out there ATT! Ask your employees what they want. Give them access to dedicated HR personnel who are actually knowledgeable and work in the interest of the employees. This will give employees a clear view of what they can LEAVE with and if staying is a better alternative for them!! Ever consider that Randall and McCelfresh? Or are you so enjoying your fat pay and bonus that you cannot see what invested employees of 15, 20 year’s and more stand to lose?? STOP the talk and START the walk in ethics, truth, trust, transparency, inclusion and integrity!! Clearly those courses did not impact your decision-making. IBM!!! Really??

Ridiculous and IBM-gain-centered. IBM has remained ATT’s largest customer so as ATTs vendor they have gotten away with murder!! They are costly, uncooperative and unyielding at the working level. If projects have suffered due to high cost at ATT, it has been the unjustified cost estimate from IBM!! It’s a conflict of interest when the client us the vendor. Strange that the company officers do not see that!!

response to "We were told that if we are not given an offer by IBM then we'll be moved under Thaddeus. I'm presuming that will be a holding area pending a surplus. But I'm doubting there will be many. " You may be ok. i was in a massive re-org where 80 to 90% were either out source or layed off. I few of use were move to a different VP. It took a while before we told what we would be doing. we end up doing stuff only att employees could do like security for apps., resouce access control lile racf,, security audits for apps., Knowledge support for apps in support of IBM/Tech M. So you may be ok, but you never know.

I'm a consultant on a tech dev team that was impacted. My consulting firm received an email on Wednesday that there is impact to us as well. Unfortunately, the email was SUPER vague. Does anyone have any insight?

Thanks AT&T for nothing....2 yrs away from retirement eligible and this shXX. The ones who need to be let go are the executives making these decisions. They stated in the call that "Solution Architecture" was staying, yet whoever made the list has no clue who the solution architects are. They laid off many who are Solution Architects (all lies).

Folks reporting to executives Summers/Ostapower are impacted.
Some groups will be outsourced and some will be moved into the business areas.

We were told that if we are not given an offer by IBM then we'll be moved under Thaddeus. I'm presuming that will be a holding area pending a surplus. But I'm doubting there will be many. An earlier post that folks will be moved to IBM until they can get the info we know moved offshore and then cut us loose is probably correct.

Once they s— the information out of you, they send the work offshore and let you go in most cases in 6 months to 2 years. I guess they are not offering any incentive signing bonus to hang on for a while. This way AT&T can avoid paying you the severance package.
