They completely discriminate against people based on age, race, and ethnic background. They can call it diversity but the truth is they are acting exactly and purposefully in a highly discriminatory way. You certainly don't have to agree, but that does not change the facts. I know hundreds of people that have been targeted not because of abilities or results, but solely because of age, sole because of race, solely because they were Americans. Some may say it was all because of money, but that is only true in some cases. Look at the HR Department. It has changed and is now being run by many people that are not from this country. And what are they doing? They are systematically replacing people to fit the identities they desire based on race and age, etc. Take a hard look and see if you see any truth in what I am saying before you denounce this. The truth is the truth and ADP is a horrid place now that really should be investigated.

ADP Diversity? Ah, quotas! That explains how Debbie Dyson is still employed!
@104DcSOj-nyda - You would be fairly highly compensated, and perhaps out of touch, if you believe most employees can buy a significant number of shares of stock at the current prices.
Years ago, ADP had an employee stock purchase plan that was very friendly to all it's employees. Employees received a 15% discount and stock split (to keep the price low) when the price rows into the $70s or $80s. Since that no longer happens, if you have a family, your money goes to bills and to 401k. I know the past several years I never felt I had enough spare cash to buy those shares to "cash in", as you stated.
With the price going up 350%, as you stated, you are lucky if you have stock and out of luck if you could not afford to buy it.
its funny how ADP stock closed at a record high today with all the doom and gloom about losing experienced talent. ADP isn't going anywhere, and the CEO has increased shareholder value by over 350% in 8 years. Most employees own shares of ADP stock and so do those who were laid off or have since retired. Why would some people wish for the end of ADP when people are relying on it for dividend checks and price increase to one day cash in on?
Carlos has no clue what he is doing. Traditionally, ADP has had a culture that remained unique, expressing corporate values that were pre-'80's, in which maximizing shareholder value was last on the priority list, behind things like responsibility to the associates, responsibility to the clients, responsibility to corporate ethics, etc.. It was an old school company, and always hired its CEO's from within the ranks, people who were steeped in ADP's traditional approach. This was why ADP was an outstanding company to work for, and what separated it from the pack. It is also why ADP had excellent rankings for employee satisfaction: it actually cared about employee satisfaction. This, in turn, is why ADP always got stellar marks for quality: It actually cared about its clients, and its associates liked their jobs, so they cared too. Now ADP is getting poor scores in both, but has no idea why. Enter Carlos, and his clueless approach to running ADP.
Carlos is an outsider. He has no clue what made ADP successful, and considers the core values outdated and obsolete. The approach to disposing of older employees in favor of "freshers" will be ADP's death knell; the old system, valuing tenure, worked, because the old-schoolers were the only ones who knew how things worked. The systems are complicated, and there is nearly no documentation. That knowledge transfer, from veteran employees to new employees, was critical to ADP's success. Carlos is too stupid to get that, and he is already reaping the rewards. Client satisfaction is plummeting. This is because the service level is dropping, and that is happening in part because when a tough problem arises, nobody can tell the freshers how to fix it. Their frustration and understandable ineptitude is translating into poor employee satisfaction scores.
For the past several years, since Carlos began his "Make ADP better by replacing people who know how things work with people who don't" campaign, the scores in both levels have been dropping, and nobody in upper management has enough of a clue to make the connection. The focus in town halls every year now is improving quality scores, which will never happen because management hasn't figured out their brilliant strategy is what's k–ling it. I believe at this point, the decline is irreversible. Everybody who knows how to fix it is gone, replaced by freshers. They use buzzwords and slogans from the latest business self help book in meetings and issue empty statements like "we must do better," only nobody knows what better is or how to get there–wait, scratch that, everybody who knows now works for Ultimate, or Ceridian.
If I were betting on the HCM marketplace, my money would be on Ultimate. They seem to be picking up the talent that Carlos is casually tossing aside, because their founder and CEO is old-school ADP, and knows what made it successful in the first place.
The young sales reps think they can sell software that does what it doesn't do and they don't care. All they care about is money, they don't care about reality or the impact of making assumptions. It's. Just. About. Money.
This is not news that Carlos said he would rather take fresh out of college over tenured employees. This has been the trend for several years now. In fact there was another VP level person whose name I will not mention but some folks reading this may be able to guess who I'm talking about. This VP coined the term "freshers" which of course meant fresh out of college. In several of his town hall meetings he communicated only "freshers" should be hired to replace existing team members. Needles to say this VP left ADP a few years ago.
Did Carlos really say that? Yikes! Not good for the ADP brand especially the HRO / PEO side of the house.
It is easy to check as to what can and cannot be posted here. Just check the "Content Rules" for this site at the bottom of this page. Upon examination, it is clear that the posts on this thread are in line with what is allowed. No problems.
Admins nuke posts where the posters themselves ridicule and bad mouth people, not report on the abuses by the company. No one here is ridiculing anyone, just reporting what the company is doing.
Here is my 2 cents – admins nuke posts that deal with race, politics, etc. I totally see the need to discuss this, but I am telling you that admins have zero tolerance about this - if they catch it or if someone reports it, they will delete it and block your IP address… yeah, and they nuke all your previous posts. It’s a bummer to see all this text being written just to lose it as admins have no tolerance.
True. That is what I saw as well.
I have heard that Carlos said he would take fresh out of college over tenured employees any day. Diversity is what he wanted. They removed all tenured employees and outsourced to the Philippines and now India. They have no loyalty to employees who have given their lives to work there. Its all business to them. It was great years ago, but that changed. I will never recommend this company to anyone. Word of mouth will take them down eventually. The pure selfish greed of the board and CEO will continue to tarnish the brand. Karma is awesome.
