It's been four years since I've moved on from Sears. Every once in a while I still wonder about Sears. What has changed? Is there still the relentless push for meeting PAs, credit, Shop Your Way, KYM, MET and Member Feedback? If you work in appliances, do you still have to ring up your sales on the iPad?
I have a ton of other questions too...
- Is Pebble still kicking?
- Do you have working SNCs or printers?
- Does any store out there still do web orders (SFS)? With all the suppliers backing out/coming and going, how well is this working out?
- How often do you do resets? Are you finding that your resets are mainly to "plug holes" and close gaps that out of stock merchandise is leaving?
- How is staffing? Are you running into issues like appliances having to cover the softlines CAC, having only one associate per department, etc?
- Do you still have your janitorial contractor come in the morning to do the cleaning or do the MPU/store support associates have to do the cleaning before the store opens?
- What's this talk about having no lawn and garden? Does that mean no more Craftsman mowers or other outdoor power equipment, no Kenmore grills, etc?
- How many pieces are your trucks (A and B stores)?
- Do the stores still have music piped in, or did they cancel the subscription?
Feel free to add anything else that you may think is worth mentioning.
