Anyone see the email from SPEEA regarding round 3 in January? It’s coming.

Expect Boeing to announce a new design center somewhere like India where they’re going to hire big surprise about 1800
Engineers. I’ve seen this play out many times. Boeing lays off 1000 engineers one place than Hires 1000 someplace cheaper.

If any employee of Boeing doesn’t realize that the company is nothing more than a place to get some work experience and build up your finances well that’s on you!

@zws+1w5UwhlY, well actually you are wrong about one thing. Yes SPEEA engineers can definitely take their skills elsewhere & find work. As for these d-mbnuts IAM guys that only got in through their mommys & daddys, not a surviving chance outside of Boeing’s safe haven where they actually don’t even do real work. These guys get beat out by young high schoolers flipping burgers lol

A third wave of layoffs was announced at the joint workforce meeting yesterday:
Here's some notes that fellow worker Erik Muller took:

Wave 3 will not be this year
The impact to engineering is expected to be about 10% total(all waves), which is about 1800 engineering layoffs
When asked, Nimmergut could not commit that wave 3 of layoffs will be the last wave of layoffs
Wave 3 details will be determined in January
April 4th is expected to be the last day of pay for employees affected by wave 3
About 600 engineers have already received WARN notices
The company estimates 4-5% engineering attrition as part of the 1800 total(all waves) engineering layoffs

The company is circling the drain!
30 years of mismanagement,
and now the chickens have come home to roost.

Multiple failures across the commercial side
and the space side is now gone,
costing untold billions, eighty billion lost on the commercial side alone.

What did you think was going to happen?
Perhaps a lavish ballroom dance for all?

If you are still in doubt as to the consequences
of management’s debaսchery, head over to the “The Clue Store”

and buy one…

Boeing has not laid off any IAM members. Boeing stated IAM members who actually touch planes, unlike you, in preforming their job were not subjected to layoffs.

From a non-union person outside of the PNW it's mildly amusing to see all the shocked Pikachu faces now that SPEEA and IAM layoffs are being discussed.

SPEEA and IAM spouted all over social media (including here) that they were untouchable and they would never lay off important people.like us.

Well, you were wrong. Maybe now you will realize you are just a number and you have skills that you can take somewhere else.

I don't wish it on anyone, but if this is what it takes for you to understand you aren't untouchable, maybe something good can come of it.
