Has anyone heard of upcoming layoffs in the SIU quality auditing department? We have been consistently running out of work for the last few months, and it’s happening earlier and earlier in the week. We just underwent a big reorg. Per usual, leadership is vague when questioned about it.

My areas work is also slow on work and has dropped dramatically in overall work 50-60% and that’s just baseline. We’re all waiting for a forced RIF/Layoff/Reorg……I see it and smell it while others just think that Optum is paying to just hang out and twiddle our thumbs…
Well, just got my 2nd reorg in less than a month. This company is a hot mess. So….who’s hiring and what are the best companies for medical coders and nurses to WAH? ;)
Not sure about that but sounds like writing is on the wall with no work. Start looking. I am.
