Thread regarding Sungard Availability Services layoffs

I just became less productive

I use Microsoft Teams on my phone and tablets a lot but that's blocked now so I can't do that anymore. I guess people just won't get replies now ¯_ (ツ)_/¯

I refuse to install the corporate spyware on my personal device to get my functionality back.

Well, now they can enjoy things moving even slower than they usually do. Thank you, HG! I wish you would put this effort into finding the people on your team who are double dipping, fixing issues with systems that prevent people from doing their jobs, or being capable of knowing what your team is spending money on instead of making life harder. God forbid anyone walks away from their desk or goes to take a $%^&.

I continue to be less productive and missed a bunch of customer requests due to not having access to email when away from house.

If they're just getting around adding protections to mobile, wouldn't assume they're ready for BYOD. So that should answer the question.

@1hve+1i12TdnN so you just left. Or you use your own devices? That was vague

Took it a step further. Deleted the apps off my phone and sent back my laptop altogether. Cheers!

Exactly @zup
If they want you to view and respond to anything they need to provide you whatever platform is required for that. Period.

These new policies were put in place as a lipstick on a pig for sale to a new owner. Think of what you'll do to sell your home that you've havent taken care off...

@lsz+1i12TdnN Agreed, certainly on the device memory usage.
It is just a shame because I do want to be available but the company is actively preventing me.

When I deleted Outlook and Teams from my phone just prior to this changed being implemented, I gained so much free space - they're never going back on there again!

@zup+1i12TdnN that's helpful because I am an OnlyFans celebrity.

Not sure the company is in much of a state to go buying phones.

Re: I refuse to install the corporate spyware on my personal device...

And you shouldn't. If you're expected to provide replies by that means, the company should provide the dedicated device to do so. Then they can bake in all the protections they want and provide the device for restricted usage.

If they balk, tell them your an Only Fans celebrity and you wouldn't want your stuff to get mixed in with theirs! ;)
