Unfortunately it would be only L-Oxy on the chopping block. L-APC, who did nothing to make Oxy what it was prior to the buyout, are all protected and secure with COC.

I get where you are coming from. But doing 6x the work for 70% of the salary is not worth my mental health. As it sits right now, I just keep getting more work piled on from previous people that were laid off. Not to mention, my salary is completely covered by unemployment now that the fed has added money to the pile for 6 months, if you add an oxy severance to that I would be covered for probably 10 months. Plus, I am already looking to leave this industry.
I agree there are a lot of people that don't like working at Oxy. But you really need to watch out what you wish for. Our salaries are reduced, but we still have health insurance and other benefits, and this virus is doing so much harm to the economy we may not get it back for years. The outlook for the economy and global health is not good for the near future. Unless you have somewhere to go I don't see how we have it that bad during this current situation. If all this was not going on I would say for sure you are right to want to leave, but times have changed for the worse. There are literally 465 rigs working in the US, and that is down 526 from last year. Our industry whether Oxy or Exxon is going down the tubes everyday.
