Thread regarding Optum layoffs

Listen for the bell, fellow Optum underlings. It tolls for the.

I guarantee the recent RTO order for Minneapolis and DC hybrid employees is only the beginning. I predict this fall there will be no more remote designation if you live in these areas and everyone will be going into the office. And, as noted in the communication, this will spread to other parts of the country soon enough. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

@zr That's the goal. Failure to come to office = quitting

They tried this before and no one returned in office.

@bn Alright, this one was a little more believable since we all know leadership never types with proper grammar.

I don’t think this is really about getting people back in the office. It’s about threatening employees with something they desperately don’t want to do so they quit, reducing headcount without paying severance. This is a classic move from the SH playbook. $0.02

Possible but doubtful. For teams that may have been more in office prior to covid and still roughly located in same area it may be a higher likelihood. But no full scale etc. Unh doesn't have the space and certainly will not spend the money to aquire it. I have seen the talking points givrn out related to this.
