Good way for you to cut your own throat
I work at 200% every second of every day!!
It’s good. It gives you a say in your performance. It’s documented in workday. If you are doing something great, it is documented. If u r a loser and do not have any accomplishments to document then you should leave. My 2 cents
It's a way for them to slowly get rid of middle managers who get paid to do this for the employee
Self assessments are pointless. Only smart people critically assess themselves. Everyone else just puts 100%. Ironically, this will only weed out more honest intellectuals that aren't privy on all the corporate BS behind such a process.
It is a legally written document by you to against yourself later when Intel wants to get rid of you or push you out without paying more for your service.
@znh is absolutely correct. If you give yourself less then 100% you are admitting that you aren't doing your job. Good way to add yourself to a layoff list. Also, to give you less your manager would have to provide examples of where you don't meet 100%. I never had a manager who knew that much detail about what I did. Let someone else be the target.
Tool is a tool. It depends on how well it is used.
A webpage with a bunch of textboxes won't do much by itself.
The middle management is a big wall that blocks any improvements that come from the top or ones that come the bottom. Tough to crack that wall
Self assessment? Stupid idea. Why would you give yourself less than %100?
