Thread regarding Altice USA (Cablevision) layoffs

ATS is Next

Philippe said that ATS is making cuts, rumors are they will be as deep as the AUSA cuts this week. Given the companies desire to give as much work as possible to contractors and now they have removed the oversight so they can run wild. Anybody less than OSP should be worried, or at least getting resumes for the contracting company about to take their job.

No your the miserable type of person who likes to be the bearer of bad news. Your an alarmist who is entrenched in negativity. You dont care about making sure we get our affairs in order. You enjoy causing anxiety and unhappiness. Just a wretched human being!

I am an AUSA person who was neither laid off or furloughed, and I find it mildly amusing what you read into my post. Your assumption is that I would like to have ATS suffer the same fate as my fellow coworkers, no real notice that their lives were about to be drastically changed. When corporate was making moves several ATS people seemed to have the mindset that they would be unaffected because they too essential.

Instead, could my message be construed as a notice of caution to ATS employees to get their affairs in order in case they find themselves on the chopping block? Since I cannot trust you to interpret this message, I hope they do NOT suffer the same fate as AUSA. While I do not have first hand knowledge that ATS cuts are coming I have heard from several reputable sources that they are.

What does “safe” mean? 50% less likely to get canned than any other department? Everyone is a target to this company. None of us agree with how they have disrespected and disregarded customers and employees alike. They want to employee zero people with ALL of the money coming in and none going out.

In fact, we’ll never see eye to eye with them until they have us in their sights. BANG!!!

Are you a USA person who just got laid off and some how this:

"Ha ha you're all gonna get it too" type post makes you feel better?

Its a sad type of statement you are making. Did you feel going to the USA side made you better than everyone else? Would you feel better if 100 ATS workers got let go and lost their homes and families?
How do you sleep in your car at night?

That’s funny. We have a guy from plant that was basically forced to go to FTTH because they wanted to get rid of someone in the dept and other depots. Hate to break it to ya but plant ain’t safe either

ATS or Altice USA we are the same people trying to feed or families the best way we can. I was in the meeting as well where it was said that ATS will have some reorganization. Seems like they will do the same as Altice USA and attack people working from home and management but that my best guess from what I saw in my area.

Thanks for your post

Stay strong and safe out there.

Can they run wild if you have a signed union contract?

I take it your furloughed or cut of hour ?? You sound like your stirring the pot !!! Let’s talk real facts ... USA techs really don’t keep the system running ... all USA techs applied for those jobs to get out of the field ... ATS was and is the Stepchild ( Contractors ) so with that said layoffs can happen anywhere, anytime , so we all wish USA techs the best Hopefully we see you back soon .
