I had received 4 weeks and I was at Fannie for 3 years. Got my severance package a few months ago but that could have changed

Not sure now, it used to be 1yr get 2 weeks, no time limit.

You have to sign a contract to waive the right to sue the company in exchange for the package. If the package is bad, many will refuse to sign.

I haven’t heard anything about pre/post COVID for far Flex workers being a differentiator. If it is, how are they approaching post-COVID far Flex hires? My leadership remains completely unaware.

Severence apparently worse since I was laid off in 2020. I got 9 paychecks since I completed 9 years.

For Flex employees over 50 miles away hired before COVID, you need to let your manager know by June 20 if you will be relocating at your expense or choosing involuntary resignation. There is no relocation allowance. If you choose voluntary resignation, you can work until October 1. I believe this is to satisfy the WARN Act. There is no severance beyond you working until October 1.

re: "One paycheck for each year of service capped at 6 paychecks? What if you've been there for 20 years?"

Then you get 6 paychecks. 30 years, you get 6 paychecks. 50 years, you get 6 paychecks.

I believe they would have to give at least 60 days of pay per the WARN Act.
