Some accepters of the early retirement have been asked to stay a few more months. That will affect (slightly) the bottom line and possibly the number of layoffs by one or two.
Up in the cloud my a** more like heads in the sand! Why say “we are transparent “ yet no mention of cuts or how deep? This isn’t leadership it’s more like waitandaeeship, makes no sense!
They could have done predictive analytics before hand to see best/worst case scenarios. We do have analytics software, right? Lol Why wait to make it harder on employees?
Gee, wouldn’t it be amazing if Teradata could perform an analysis to see the impact of the takers of the early out package prior to the end of October? I mean they have the data as of 9/30 but wait, you need working technology to do the analysis. Oh why bother, let’s just stay focused on the NPS; surely that is the path to success.
It sounds like no mass cuts have taken place and they are waiting to see how much money they are saving with the early retirement and other cost saving measures (which seems to me will be the closing of satellite offices). If they can save enough money the personnel cuts might not be as drastic. So I applaud the wait and see approach.
ELT seems to be transparent. I like it
I don’t know of anyone that has been let go, I’m sure people have but not in my space.. only thing I’m aware of is about 20 or so that took the early retirement. There are many parts of the company I have no visibility to though and I work in cloud and we seem to be a bit sheltered
