Thread regarding Gulfstream Aerospace layoffs

All I know is....

I got the dreaded phone call with my manager and ER, I mean HR early Friday Morning. I don't expect to return. Filed for unemployment and updated resume, and searched for a few jobs on the Texas Workforce commission site. I let a few others know and plan on just networking the best I can. See y'all on Facebook.

"The median estimated compensation for executives at Gulfstream Aerospace including base salary and bonus is $239,611, or $115 per hour. At Gulfstream Aerospace, the most compensated executive makes $700,000, annually, and the lowest compensated makes $50,000."

Oh here comes the were you listening crowd, like anyone on gods green earth expects the status to change, get serious. it's just their way of delaying the inevitable and to possibly distract people from going ahead and getting unemployment all at once because they hold out hope.

If you were paying attention to what she was saying as I was, you would have heard her say that you were in an unpaid layoff status until the 15th and at that time if your status hasn’t changed you would become a permanent layoff and terminated. Once terminated we find out what our severance benefits are including final vacation payout if you have any... were you listening ?
