Well it just gets better and better doesn’t it? You gotta love the part in Tim’s message this morning where he says “that we have to manage cost everywhere”. “Dramatically reducing our spend”. Are you Fu--ing kidding me?????Let’s talk about the MIS management of spend shall we? Please enlighten me on how you find it acceptable to give these excessive salaries and compensation packages? Please show me how you justify 375k Per month for RoZ to consult what cost savings is she contributing to the business? How to you justify paying a salary to Ginger of 825k for 1 month of being the interim ceo???? What are you all smoking? You people are so out of touch it’s ridiculous. Laying off people before thanksgiving and Christmas??? Tim in your video fireside chat the Walgreens creed plaque was on your shelf perhaps you might want to read that in between karaoke, dancing and reading. This company and its leadership are a complete and utter embarrassment. And let’s not let the facts get in the way that you still haven’t figured out this return to the office bullsh-t that again costs your grunt works money in gas of which we don’t even have a merit increase or bonus to cover!!!! Shame on all of you!

While I was being laid off today, I was being messaged by a bunch of the consultants. I don’t think they are going anywhere 😔
Nah bro you didn’t get “impacted” you got fired. With time you’ll soon be able to talk like a normie again and not have to use your corporate voice. You’ll soon find how freeing it can be to actually speak like, you know, a person. Your road to recovery starts today
Glad you got paid out and found some freedom. You’re the winner of the day even if it may not seem like it. I feel sorry for the clowns still holding on and selling their soul to a sinking ship.
I have heard very little this round of layoffs... is it taking longer than normal? The last one it seemed like it was over by noon, and there was lots of chatter about impacted groups/positions.
Wish you all the best and glad that you see it as an opportunity to move to something where you’ll be treated much better.
Which department were you in?
I got impacted today, but I feel calm and free. Maybe a little anxious, but also quite excited about my future without Walgreens in it. During my tenure at Walgreens, it was constant reorgs, and my career wend down the toilet over time. And ever since Roz came in, incompetency and lack of focus/strategy of the senior leaders was very obvious, and fakeness of these so-called leaders and toxic work environment surrounding us was so bad, almost everyone in my area was waiting to be paid to get out, and our dream came true today. For people who are staying, just remember. You and your family first, not Walgreens. Be good to yourself and stay healthy. It will all work out with or without Walgreens in our lives. Good luck everyone!
Any idea who some of the groups getting meetings added to their calendar?
Meetings are starting to pop up on some calendars…private appts from VP to directors..
This^^^ 💯 Especially the Slaloms. And don’t forget the CapGemini’s. There has been GROSS negligence and incompetence with consulting engagements.
I think they wanted to avoid layoffs because they hurt the stock price, so they tried to make people quit by insisting on "back to in person".
I guess not enough people quit so now they're doing layoffs again
You're so spot on! Not to mention how much money over the past five years they've spent on ridiculous consulting firms that take credit for our work. Fire the mo--ns that were bringing the Slaloms, Accenture, EY, McKinsey, etc... to do NOTHING.
