The guy who admitted to leaving Intel in 2001 is exactly who hangs out here... How can you be such a cyber stalker of a company you haven't worked at for 23 years. Obviously, Intel got it right with you. Right? Why are you so obsessed? Sounds like a GPTW!
If you were one, OP, good riddance
Poor white males getting sc--wed..blah..blah..blah. Grow a sack and stop blaming others for your failures. P.S. I’m a white male too
When I signed the termination paperwork to get a package i agreed to not sue for age discrimination. That was in 2001. Legal and HR have only improved that protection. It doesn’t matter. Whoever buys Intel will have another 50% round of firings to eliminate duplication.
They already had one class action lawsuit for age discrimination for the last mass layoff; so now they do "performance and skill assessments". Which like another poster said in another thread, having a preferred skin color or background nets you extra points. So you really have to be bad to get below that line. If you don't have the preferred DEI soft skill then you have to be that much better to keep your job and/or get promoted/good rating.
doesn't matter anyway. Anybody taking any of the packages needs to sign an agreement.
You are giving them WAY too much credit. They are more reactive then proactive
Don't be silly. This isn't their first rodeo, they aren't that stupid to slip up regarding demographics and risk a class action. Legal teams have probably been carefully calculating that for weeks, making sure it's an age, gender, and racial mix.
OP, you forgot to add old or at least long term employee. If your salary is too high you are at risk. Skills and experience don't matter.
In Oregon you step out side it's 90% white people. You join an engineering meeting at Intel it's 10. That says something
I was wondering the same thing. Everyone I known and have seen is a white male age ranges.
Ha no they won’t! As transparent as they claim to be this type of data. They play close to the chest. Asked them for something simpler like what is the demographic breakdown of first line managers? See what response you will get.
