Can anyone please shed a timeline on how long it took to receive the document and was it after your non working period? Also after signing how long before you received funds?

@Abnj+1sucNWhO Agreement says how long they have to pay you. Hopefully you didn’t gloss over that language. Someone else on one of these posts pointed that out. However, heard possibly 2-3 paycycles. Thinking end of July early August.

I was laid off 3/25 and signed my severance agreement 2 wks ago. I still haven't gotten my severance $$$. Have any of you?

Nothing gets a response faster than a letter from a lawyer.

If anybody is having issues receiving their documentation or payout - leverage the generic HR email to open a case and call ConnectOne to have them flag/escalate it. My HR rep was really responsive and I think she was genuinely trying to help, but there was no movement until I called ConnectOne as a last ditch effort and was instructed to send an email and to follow up by calling the next day to have it flagged.

If you’re not hearing from Citi HR, then hire a lawyer. I know it sounds expensive but not as much as you may think.

Pay the lawyer to draft and send Citi a letter of inquiry on your behalf. If they still don’t respond, then the lawyer can send a letter with intent to sue for “x” amount plus legal fees.

I was laid off 3/25 in Texas. Got my PTO pay in last paycheck. No severance. The HR lady won't answer a ***king email.

Also, I'm in Tech and I applied for jobs 8 hrs a day, every day. The market su-ks but I got 3 offers. Good luck to all!

Many of us were RIFd in March but have an off payroll date of May 16 not the end of the month. We were told we would receive severance as soon as administratively possible.
Who knows what that means? LOL

End of August? I figured end of July. I think they are factoring in the length of time people have to consult employment lawyer to review severance agreement. If that time is incorporated then probably August.

I was let go from CITI Bank Tampa in March of 2024. I was put on a 1 month paid working period. Following that, I've been on a 1-month non-working paid period which ends tomorrow.

I've reached out to HR and my HR severance contact requesting an overview of the package contents. I've been calling and writing requesting an expected severance ETA date. I've finally received a response.

My final paycheck with unused holidays / vacation + the last 4 days of May will be on 6.7.24.

The severance, minus 0.25 or 0.30 in taxes, is payable by the end of August 2024????????

The job market is less than robust so I'm preparing for the long term. I've applied for 100's of positions ☹

The last check is 6/7 as the pay period for that check includes last week and 3 days from this week, so 7 days of pay + vacation accrued time.

With that said, I don’t think severance payment post signing agreement will show up till July.

The severance won't be received until July? But if the last check is paid in May, that means an entire month without pay for those of us that are RIFd. That can't be right.

For those that received the severance notification, have you received the severance documentation that needs to be signed prior to receipt of monies?

What I did when I wasn’t getting the response I wanted was copied my HR reps manager and then that managers manager and that managers managers manager

First off, I’m sorry that you’re dealing with this. I was laid off at the end of March myself. HR was not on the call when I got laid off. I actually did not hear from HR for 3 weeks post layoff. I was able to get in touch with my assigned HR rep via workday. She apologized and mentioned that I should’ve been contacted. Shortly after I received an email providing working period/non working period details. I received severance details 2 weeks ago. Not sure when it will actually be paid at this rate. If you haven’t already, find out who your assigned workday HR rep is and see if you can get in contact with them.

I’m in Texas. I was laid off March 2024. My end date is May 30 2024 I have a meeting with HR that day. I’m not expecting 2 weeks pay for every year I worked, that’s 14 years, unpaid vaca, HSA claims I should of been reimbursed for, and regular pay from May 20- May 30.

I was under the impression I’d get it all June 7

I was also layoff on march from the tampa office, i contact Hr on May 15 and she indicated there were administrative delays.. no ETA..

i would ask if there could be a legal action against citi for a contract violation having an agreement summary that was given to me by hr

I think if you got hired for a new job internally in Citi During the Non-working period or WARN period, then yes. You will need to pay back the Non-working period or WARN period money. So for example, if your Non-working period is 30 days and WARN Period will include Non-working for a total of 90 Days=3 months, if you get hired / rehired internally in Citi during this 90 day window, you will need to repay the 90 days of money up to a maximum of 90 days' worth. But once the Severance money starts after your first 90 days, and you somehow get hired / rehired by Citi, you do Not need to repay the first 90 days money, nor the Severance for however long your Severance money covers (depends on years of service and OWBPA). However, the Severance money stops on your first day of work as a rehire.

Even if you got another job in middle of your non-working period you have to pay back the remaining notice Period days plus tax back to Citi.

Post ID: @2snm+1sucNWhO Wow. That is a great great great great point. Never would’ve thought of it. Anyone who comes back to citi before their severance time runs out would have to be insane to come back.

I was told my severance and cobra information would be mailed to me a few weeks after my end date of May 30. One other thing that I was told, which is a big one, is they are going to take taxes out of the severance lump sum payment but if you go back to Citi, you have to pay the lump sum AND the taxes. so for easy math, if you make $100,000 you will get 70,000 in your severance check but if you go back to Citi, you will have to pay 100,000 back. Not sure how people who live paycheck to paycheck can even consider going back to Citi with that in place. Good luck to all who were impacted!

Current and Laidoff Employees do NOT GAFF that you're inundated with thousands of former Employees contacting you Because, THIS IS YOUR FVCKEN JOB !!! Citi dug itself in its H0LE and Citi HR, Citi Legal Dept., "work" for Citi. It's shocking there is Not yet a Class Action Lawsuit about Citi's usual INCOMPETENCE. FOOT-DRAGGING AND EXCUSES ABOUT DISTRIBUTING SEVERANCE, COBRA AND OTHER BENEFITS WHICH BY LAW IS REQUIRED. THERE ARE ALSO COBRA DUE DATES AND TIME LIMITS. IF FORMER EMPLOYEES MISS THOSE DUE DATES, THEY WILL NOT HAVE MEDICAL INSURANCE BECAUSE OF CITI'S NORMAL ABNORMAL INCOMPETENCE AND EXCUSES!!!

The negative response from the person above is exactly why you don’t refer people to Citi. The question is a fair question yet they decided to get on here and talk big behind their keyboard. Smh.

I was given notice in January and my termination date was 3/31. I was told initially I’d receive paperwork before my non-working notice period, then before my term date, and now every follow-up with HR is how they’re reviewing and sending out lots of packages but mine hasn’t come through for review yet.

I was told by HR in Tampa that it would be 4-6 weeks, after my last check on June 7th. Nothing on COBRA until you are off the payroll, and they mail it with prices. Single person will be at least 800 or more a month, ballpark figure.

I was let go last July and received nothing.

Everyone is sympathetic to your plight of being RIFd, but there is no need to "follow up", "touch base", "check in", or any other euphemism you want to use to excuse your annoying pestering.

I thought it was 90 days notice in New York, not 60 days @ the person in Buffalo New York. @ Buffalo person did you mean March 2024?

I was laid off from the Buffalo office at the end of March 2023. I had a phone call running down the details of my severance agreement around April 12th. My notice period is April 1st-May 30th during which I am receiving normal pay and benefits. My last regular paycheck will include a payout for unused vacation time and then after that check I’m supposed to receive my lump sum severance payment (equivalent to 8 weeks of pay for me)

The way the rep explained made it sound like benefits will be ending on May 30 and then I’ll be getting a document to sign agreeing to my severance amount and I would imagine I’d get cobra info at that time.

Also sounds like I’ll be receiving the actual severance payment on or around July 1.

But keep hounding those HR reps and even your former supervisors because I had to be pretty tenacious to get some answers.

My understanding is that HR is backed up on contacting people because they laid off so many.

NYC - I did not receive any details (health insurance-cobra, 401k, severance agreement)

I too was laid off in March 2024. I believe we will receive the severance package info after the Non-working notice period is over on May 30th.
