Thread regarding Halliburton Co. layoffs

Lockheed Martin is the Halliburton employee stealer.

All this talk about layoffs. Save your breath and apply at Lockheed Martin. Most start at $40 or more an hour. And when they see that you either work at Halliburton or was laid off, they will fast track your application. If enough people leave, JRC will close anyways.

They unnecessarily add to the unemployment by over hiring
as opposed to leaving them unemployed the entire time? ask him about aerospace downturns too, i had a lot of college instructors that were let go in the 90s and worked in aero again.

I was laid off on a Tuesday and had an interview on Friday. The manager I interviewed with hates Halliburton and all oil and gas companies. They unnecessarily add to the unemployment by over hiring. All of oil and gas companies that just laid people off added almost a whole percentage point to the states unemployment. For the record, my starting wage is $43.50. $15 more than my Halliburton wage. So don't waste time.

What type of jobs are there for HAL folks in LM? Certainly it cannot be designing aircrafts and rockets!
