@fru, words are cheap and excuses many. CVX is committed to this, that and the other thing. Blah, blah, blah. I'll believe it when it happens. Chevron has reached the stage where credibility won't come as easy as before. #DontHoldYourBreath.

CVX conference call this morning, Chevron is comitted to maintain and increase divided this year.

Not only showing strength, they have strength. Raising their dividend by 3%, whereas Chevron cannot, will not bode well for CVX. Investors will flock more to XOM at CVX's detriment. That spells a lower stock price coming down the road for Chevron. The counterbalance for Chevron will be further and deeper cuts in personnel.
