This is just the beginning of the layoffs. Wait until we announce we missed top line and bottom line.
Heard the layoffs at HQ totalled about 60. I know of only 3 personally, any truth to that number?
@yrq+1qRkNN0s There are loopholes in the WARN notice criteria in Ohio. Companies can easily dance around those "legalities" armed with their platoon of lawyers:
~“If one or more facilities or operating units in a given location anticipate a shutdown that will affect more than 50 workers AND last more than 30 days.”
And a mass layoff is:
“If a series of layoffs over a 30 day period will result in the loss of 500 or more employees, WARN Act Notice must be given. Also, if a series of layoffs of more than 50 or less than 500 employees over a 30 day period will result in a loss of 1/3rd of the workforce, WARN notice must be given.”~

There is no Ohio WARN notice. If there is mass layoffs, Goodyear must inform the state 60 days prior to termination. If they didn’t, I would suggest getting legal counsel.
