Thread regarding Optum layoffs

Really sad day today

Just a devastating day , esp in OH where rumors said 25% got cut. Lots of tears and sadness. Some people left for the day after they found out (don’t blame them). Hopefully those impacted get back on their feet soon. For those who survived , I think the question you need to analyze is will you be on the chopping block in next round?

Take care of yourself and don’t let this moment define you as it was out of you control.

@yr They dont have any integrity. They have schemes. People just like to bury their heads as deep as they can because that way they ignore what this company does. Do some research.

@a6 Please do not speak of things you know nothing about. I’ve been with Optum for 20 years and although the culture has changed every team I was on worked in the best interest of the client. We might not have gotten it right every time but on the frontline the healthcare staff worked with integrity.

@a6 And what is it that you do that you seem to think you understand what others positions entail? I am a healthcare leader and not only have been never done anything unethical I’ve never been asked to.

@a6 you are so wrong, many high performers with 20 to 30 years of exemplary tenure were let go today. You should be ashamed of yourself for blaming them.

You can’t feel sorry for a lot of managers and directors , even nurses. When you don’t know how to do the right thing but follow any scheme you’re told to do. Karma a B!
