There will be two more rounds of layoffs. A small group before Christmas, and some after the new year. Somewhere in between, we will re-level. Some MD’s and SVP’s will experience one of the other of:
a.) Keep the title and get a reduction in pay
b.) lose the title and get a reduction in pay

Good excuse as any I guess.
The worse I could ever hope for, for someone in recruitment is for them to try to get a job somewhere else and for them to have to deal with the same type of recruiter that they are.
That in itself may be too cruel of a treatment but they should have to live through the same type of experience that they give.
Is that too cruel?
Recruiting carries out the wishes of the business with tools and processes given to them by HR. They literally have no say in anything, yet receive all the blame for poor experiences. That’s the job and why they are paid, is for being in a thankless job and dealing with thinly veiled (and mid-placed) contempt from all sides. Karma will come for you, rude people
@xxd+1vsdonay; They are the most corrupted team in Citi, Recruitment alone should go to third paty, it will fix most of the problems.
Recruiting dept was hit two weeks ago
Any chatter on which lines of business/ departments will be hit?
Good. Either way I'm happy:
- Layoff = nice severance package
- Keep my job
In in Tampa so think my odds are pretty good. They pay us 41% less than NYC folks on our team who do the exact same thing we do, so pretty sure we are safe, for now
The word “technology” at Citi is so nebulous.
I use excel and excel runs on technology, so I’m in tech. I logon and logging on uses tech so I’m in tech too. No no no, tech means database only….or is it coding? Yeah, that’s it, its coding. No, its tech helpdesk. On and on and on.
I do hear changes in Technology group and moving some roles from remote to low cost sites. Terminate remote FTE or push them to report back to regular sites.
Soon ! No hike or Bonus this time.
when it will be announed?
