I'm sorry to hear all the angst (no sarcasm, I really mean it). Retired last summer from Boeing, cashed out the pension, sitting down on the Oregon coast enjoying the beautiful weather. Waiting to pick up some screaming deals in the market. The point of this post is get the f**k out of that place if you can and try to enjoy life while you can. Your time on this planet is shorter than you think.
The Federal Government just called it, Shut It Down

the factory is most likely going to shut down and mechanics will be furloughed
You cannot use math to communicate with management.
You need a spread sheet and some charts, they are visual animals.
Next
There will be umpteen meetings, 2,160 hospitalizations and 360 deaths.

Honest Government | Coronavirus: Flatten The Curve
@xtk
(“waiting for a handful of employees to die?!”)
Math:
12,000 x 3% = 360 deaths
Where IS The Union in all this, I thought they had the workers welfare as
A Priority

That's right Boeing executives do not care about the employees. Not even a little bit. They are hoping the virus k–ls as many of the older maxed out employees as possible, and any younger employees without sick time to cover will be cammed out. Management is evil. It's time for a change
If we don’t die-off they’ll have to layoff
Washington State Health is Mandating a Shutdown
Boeing management is not that empathetic.
The Fed has already allocated the money for a shutdown of factories and
restaurants Nation Wide.
Lol the managers meeting is about coronavirus. It is too soon for a layoffs meeting. They are still planning to get bailed out by the US taxpayer.
All managers meeting at 6 tomorrow morning. Maybe sending us home????
As the virus blankets the globe a hushed silence will fall where once there was
Life there will be only death and sorrow. Only the children will survive in this
new world.
No more tanks, no more planes, no more trains, no more automobiles
The virus was designed for this, and the meek shall inherit the earth.

“Boeing May Slash Production”
Wow, do you think Boeing will shutdown the 737 line.
Oh wait they did that.
Could they halt the 797 development?
Oh wait they did that.

Logic and Reason 101
Why is boeing taking a chance to spread the virus. The workers are so concerned.
Layoffs coming soon!!! Wishful Thinking?
A top Boeing executive — speaking on condition of anonymity because of
the sensitivity of the situation — said Sunday that contingency planning at
the highest levels of the company is still focused on avoiding layoffs so as to
enable the business to recover quickly once the virus emergency passes.
He said Boeing’s leadership is unlikely to announce a firm plan until later in
the week, but that for now “the conversation here is leaning even more toward
Doing Everything We Can to protect employees.”
We’ll need them to be back in the saddle quickly when this thing passes over
He Said, adding that “nothing is firm at this time.
My Opinion for what it’s worth;
Everything is in the air now. When will air travel normalize?
My guess, Best Case 3 months, worst case, that’s in the air we don’t know.
Governments will be chipping in to keep the global economy afloat.
